On Application of the Modulus Metric to Solving the Minimum Euclidean Distance Decoding Problem
Problems of Information Transmission, 2019We prove equivalence of using the modulus metric and Euclidean metric in solving the soft decoding problem for a memoryless discrete channel with binary input and Q-ary output. For such a channel, we give an example of a construction of binary codes correcting t binary errors in the Hamming metric.

Luminosity and the Distance Modulus
2001Abstract Bob bangs on the carbon doors that separate the museum corridor from Miss Muxdröözol’s living quarters. Humanity entered the Carbon Age years ago, after soccer ball shaped cages of carbon atoms led to extraordinary new materials. The new materials are a hundred times stronger than any metal and weigh less than ordinary plastics.

On broken structural and dynamical homology of elliptical galaxies: a Virgo-Fornax distance modulus
This paper presents an extension to the work of D'Onofrio et al. (1997) on the Fundamental Plane (FP), in which a distance modulus between the Virgo and Fornax clusters was derived. In addressing the broken dynamical homology, implied by the broken structual homology (Caon, Capaccioli & D'Onofrio 1993; Graham et al.openaire +1 more source
