A Systematic Review of Ecological Momentary Assessment for Obsessive‐Compulsive Disorder

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Obsessive‐compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by its symptomatology heterogeneity, which poses challenges for its assessment and treatment. Young adult self‐harm: The role of victimisation and polygenic risk in a population‐based longitudinal study

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Victimisation has been associated with self‐harm (with or without suicidal intent), but little is known about this association during young adulthood—a distinct developmental period. Further, not all individuals who experience victimisation will later engage in self‐harm, suggesting the influence of other factors.

A counterfactual and random intercept cross‐lagged panel analysis of the effects of reading frequency on adolescent mental health in a large longitudinal study

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Reading has been proposed as a protective factor in mental health; however, evaluating this is challenging due to a lack of trials and the possibility of confounding in observational studies. Methods We used the complementary approaches of covariate balancing propensity score weighting and random intercepts cross‐lagged panel models

Sleep disturbance as a transdiagnostic marker of children's mental health difficulties: A network analysis of item‐level associations between different types of sleep problems and different behavioural and emotional symptoms

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Sleep disturbances are widely considered to be a transdiagnostic feature of common behavioural and emotional difficulties in childhood, yet most studies treat sleep as a single construct. open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.

Investigating the toll of childhood socioeconomic disadvantage on adolescent mental health in three UK cohorts

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Low socioeconomic position (SEP) in childhood is robustly associated with adolescent mental health difficulties, yet this relationship is changing over time due to contextual and conceptual differences in these constructs. Consistent SEP and mental health data from different cohorts are required to understand changes over time ...
