Existence of a Unique Weak Solution to a Nonlinear Non-Autonomous Time-Fractional Wave Equation (of Distributed-Order)

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We study an initial-boundary value problem for a fractional wave equation of time distributed-order with a nonlinear source term. The coefficients of the second order differential operator are dependent on the spatial and time variables.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Dissipativity and stability for a nonlinear differential equation with distributed order symmetrized fractional derivative

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 2011
The authors consider the equation \[ \frac{d^2u}{dt^2}\,(t)+b \int_{0}^{1} {}^{\pm} {\mathcal E}^{\alpha}_{T}u(t) \phi(\alpha) d \alpha + F(u(t))=0,\quad t\in (0,T],\quad u(0)=u_0,\quad \frac{du}{dt}\,(0)= v_0, \] which is a generalization of mathematical models describing oscillations with fractional damping.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

p-Moment Mittag–Leffler Stability of Riemann–Liouville Fractional Differential Equations with Random Impulses

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Fractional differential equations with impulses arise in modeling real world phenomena where the state changes instantaneously at some moments. Often, these instantaneous changes occur at random moments.

A novel fractional order proportional integral derivative plus second-order derivative controller for load frequency control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Sustainable Energy, 2021
This paper proposes a novel fractional order proportional integral derivative plus second-order derivative (FOPID+DD) controller for the load frequency control (LFC) of a hybrid power system (hPS).

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Controllability of higher-order fractional damped stochastic systems with distributed delay

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
In this paper, the controllability analysis is proposed for both linear and nonlinear higher-order fractional damped stochastic dynamical systems with distributed delay in Hilbert spaces which involve fractional Caputo derivative of different orders ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

MAS-Based Decentralized Coordinated Control Strategy in a Micro-Grid with Multiple Microsources

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
In this paper, a decentralized coordinated control method based on multi-agent system is proposed to improve the voltage stability of micro-grid. In lower-level agents, the decentralized control is designed as double-loop controllers for the inverter of ...
