OSA Advanced Photonics Congress 2021, 2021We propose apodized DBR bends for a compact (0.0024 mm2/ch) 4 channel cWDM filter. Simulations show -39 dB sidelobe suppression, -32 dB cross-talk, and -0.05 dB insertion loss for an optimized device configuration.

Inherently mode-hop-free distributed bragg reflector (DBR) laser array
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2003An inherently mode-hop-free tuning of 4.5 nm was achieved with a short-active-region distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) laser. The DBR laser contains no phase-adjustment electrode, which greatly simplifies the tuning. Fast tuning of several nanoseconds and error-free operation for 2.5-Gbit/s direct modulation were also observed.
