Distributed quantization for compressed sensing [PDF]

open access: green2014 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2014
We study distributed coding of compressed sensing (CS) measurements using vector quantizer (VQ). We develop a distributed framework for realizing optimized quantizer that enables encoding CS measurements of correlated sparse sources followed by joint decoding at a fusion center.

Multi-User Distributed Computing Via Compressed Sensing

open access: green2023 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW), 2023
The multi-user linearly-separable distributed computing problem is considered here, in which $N$ servers help to compute the real-valued functions requested by $K$ users, where each function can be written as a linear combination of up to $L$ (generally non-linear) subfunctions. Each server computes a fraction $γ$ of the subfunctions, then communicates

Distributed Compressed Sensing off the Grid [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2015
This letter investigates the joint recovery of a frequency-sparse signal ensemble sharing a common frequency-sparse component from the collection of their compressed measurements. Unlike conventional arts in compressed sensing, the frequencies follow an off-the-grid formulation and are continuously valued in $\left\lbrack 0,1 \right\rbrack$.

Distributed Compressed Video Sensing [PDF]

open access: yes2009 43rd Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems, 2009
This paper proposes a novel framework called Distributed Compressed Video Sensing (DISCOS) - a solution for Distributed Video Coding (DVC) based on the Compressed Sensing (CS) theory. The DISCOS framework compressively samples each video frame independently at the encoder and recovers video frames jointly at the decoder by exploiting an interframe ...

Methods for Distributed Compressed Sensing [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sensor and Actuator Networks, 2013
Compressed sensing is a thriving research field covering a class of problems where a large sparse signal is reconstructed from a few random measurements. In the presence of several sensor nodes measuring correlated sparse signals, improvements in terms of recovery quality or the requirement for a fewer number of local measurements can be expected if ...

Compressed Sensing-Based Distributed Image Compression [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2014
In this paper, a new distributed block-based image compression method based on the principles of compressed sensing (CS) is introduced. The coding and decoding processes are performed entirely in the CS measurement domain. Image blocks are classified into key and non-key blocks and encoded at different rates.
