Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Probability-based pilot allocation for MIMO relay Distributed compressed sensing channel estimation

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2018
Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) relay communication systems are used as an efficient system in spectral efficiency and power allocation view point. In these systems, some of the facilities need channel state information (CSI).

Investigation of Laser Ablation and Brush Pre‐Treatments for AlCu Cold Roll Bonding in Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Expander $\ell_0$-Decoding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We introduce two new algorithms, Serial-$\ell_0$ and Parallel-$\ell_0$ for solving a large underdetermined linear system of equations $y = Ax \in \mathbb{R}^m$ when it is known that $x \in \mathbb{R}^n$ has at most $k < m$ nonzero entries and that $A$ is

Analysis of Fisher Information and the Cram\'{e}r-Rao Bound for Nonlinear Parameter Estimation after Compressed Sensing

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we analyze the impact of compressed sensing with complex random matrices on Fisher information and the Cram\'{e}r-Rao Bound (CRB) for estimating unknown parameters in the mean value function of a complex multivariate normal distribution ...

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A Sparsity Adaptive Algorithm for Wideband Compressive Spectrum Sensing

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2014
Traditional spectrum sensing based on compressed sensing assumes that the sparsity is known, in fact,it is unknown and time-varying. To solve the problem, a sparsity adaptive algorithm for wideband spectrum sensing was proposed.

EBSD Study of Creep‐Induced Lattice Misorientation in MgO‐Particle‐Reinforced Austenitic Steel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.
