Automated Synthesis of Distributed Controllers [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Synthesis is a particularly challenging problem for concurrent programs. At the same time it is a very promising approach, since concurrent programs are difficult to get right, or to analyze with traditional verification techniques. This paper gives an introduction to distributed synthesis in the setting of Mazurkiewicz traces, and its applications to ...

Direct Ink Writing of Conductive Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the use of direct ink writing (DIW) for fabricating conductive hydrogels with customizable 3D structures. It outlines the rheological requirements for successful DIW, followed by an exploration of the materials and ink formulations used to impart electronic and/or ionic conductivity to hydrogels while maintaining printability ...

A Light-Weight Distributed System for the processing of Replicated Counter-like Objects [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed and Parallel Systems (IJDPS) Vol.4, No.3, May 2013, 1 -15, 2013
In order to increase availability in a distributed system some or all of the data items are replicated and stored at separate sites. This is an issue of key concern especially since there is such a proliferation of wireless technologies and mobile users.

Concurrent Interface Passivation and Contact Work Function Tuning in Organic Self‐Aligned Gate Transistors and Complementary Circuits Using Phosphonic Acid Self‐Assembled Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐aligned gate transistors are developed with a single‐step dielectric passivation and fine‐tuning of source/drain electrode work function using phosphonic acid self‐assembled monolayers (SAM). This transistor architecture minimizes overlap capacitances and access resistance.
