Modeling flight departure delay distributions
2014 International Conference on Computer, Control, Informatics and Its Applications (IC3INA), 2014In this paper, we construct a probability distribution for flight departure delay durations. The probability distribution is developed by fitting historical departure delay data of an airline to a number of probability distributions. Then, we choose the most fitted model by applying two-stage Genetic Algorithm.

Delay-dependent stability condition for systems with distributed delays
Fifth World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation (IEEE Cat. No.04EX788), 2004The delay-dependent stability of a class of linear systems with distributed delays was investigated. By choosing proper Lyapunov function, delay-dependent stability conditions of this class of systems are formulated in terms of existence of positive definite solutions to a linear matrix equation.

Synchronized patterns induced by distributed time delays

Attrition in Distributed Delay Models
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1977Distributed time delay models are extended to deal with loss of entities from within the process being modeled. Analysis of a time-invariant distributed delay shows that the statistics of individual transit times through a delay process can be very sensitive to attrition incurred during the delay.
