EXPONENTIAL DECAY OF THERMO-ELASTIC BRESSE SYSTEM WITH DISTRIBUTED DELAY TERM

open access: closedHacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, 2017
Summary: The paper considered here is one-dimensional linear thermo-elastic Bresse system with a distributed delay term in the first equation. We prove the well-posedness and exponential stability result, this later will be shown without the usual assumption on the wave speeds. To achieve our goals, we make use of the semi-group method.

Distributed-delay-dependent exponential stability of impulsive neural networks with inertial term

open access: closedNeurocomputing, 2018
Abstract Global exponential stability problem of impulsive inertial neural networks with time-varying discrete-delay and distributed-delay is considered in the present paper. Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and differential inequality for delay differential equations are employed to investigate the stability of the inertial neural networks.

Dynamics of bidirectional associative memory networks with distributed delays and reaction–diffusion terms

Nonlinear Analysis: Real World Applications, 2007
A system of two nonlinear reaction-diffusion equations, including distributed time delays and time-periodic forcing, is studied. The system is motivated as a model for an associative memory neural network. It is proved that, under appropriate conditions, the system has a unique periodic solution (with the same period as that of the forcing), which is ...

Estimating Flight Departure Delay Distributions—A Statistical Approach With Long-Term Trend and Short-Term Pattern

Journal of the American Statistical Association, 2005
In this paper, we develop a model for estimating flight departure delay distributions required by air traffic congestion prediction models. We identify and study major factors influencing flight departure delays, and develop a strategic departure delay prediction model. This model employs nonparametric methods for daily and seasonal trends. In addition,

The long-term distribution of differential group delay in a recirculating loop

Technical Digest: Symposium on Optical Fiber Measurements, 2004., 2004
It is well known that the distribution of differential group delay (DGD) in a straight-line optical fiber transmission system is a Maxwellian when the fiber realization drifts ergodically and the fiber is statistically homogeneous [I].

GLOBAL ROBUST STABILITY CRITERIA FOR T-S FUZZY SYSTEMS WITH DISTRIBUTED DELAYS AND TIME DELAY IN THE LEAKAGE TERM

open access: closed, 2012
The paper is concerned with robust stability criteria for Takagi- Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with distributed delays and time delay in the leakage term. By exploiting a model transformation, the system is converted to one of the neutral delay system.

Exponential convergence for HRNNs with continuously distributed delays in the leakage terms

Neural Computing and Applications, 2012
This paper considers exponential convergence for a class of high-order recurrent neural networks (HRNNs) with continuously distributed delays in the leakage terms (i.e., “leakage delays”). Without assuming the boundedness on the activation functions, some sufficient conditions are derived to ensure that all solutions of this system converge ...

A new delay distribution model to take long-term degradation into account

2013 IEEE 4th Latin American Symposium on Circuits and Systems (LASCAS), 2013
The long-term degradation due to aging such as NBTI (Negative Bias Temperature Instability) is a hot issue in the current circuit design using nanometer process technologies, since it causes a delay fault in the field. In order to resolve the problem, we must estimate delay variation caused by long-term degradation in design stage, but over estimation ...
