Dynamic behaviors for inertial neural networks with reaction-diffusion terms and distributed delays [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
AbstractA class of inertial neural networks (INNs) with reaction-diffusion terms and distributed delays is studied. The existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium point for the considered system is obtained by topological degree theory, and a sufficient condition is given to guarantee global exponential stability of the equilibrium point.

Decay rate of the solutions to the Cauchy problem of the Bresse system in thermoelasticity of type III with distributed delay

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2023
The decay rate of solutions to a Bresse system in thermoelasticity of type III with respect to the distributed delay term is the subject of this study. We demonstrate our major finding utilising the energy approach in the Fourier space.

Non-Fragile Fault-Tolerant Control Design for Fractional-Order Nonlinear Systems With Distributed Delays and Fractional Parametric Uncertainties

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This work discuss the stabilization issue for a class of fractional-order nonlinear systems together with time delay, parametric uncertainties and actuator faults. Precisely, the considered system comprises of two delays namely distributed delay and time-

Polynomial stability of a transmission problem with second sound and distributed delay term

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS ISSUE MATHEMATICS, 2023
Summary: In this work, we consider a transmission problem for an elastic-thermoelastic bar with the elastic part being surrounded by two thermoelastic parts in the presence of an infinite distributed delay term. The heat flux of the system is governed by Cattaneo's law.

The split step theta balanced numerical approximations of stochastic time varying Hopfield neural networks with distributed delays

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization, 2023
In this paper, split step theta balanced Euler approximations for stochastic time-varying delay Hopfield neural networks (HNN) with distributed delays are examined for their exponential stability and strong convergence.

Polynomial Decay Rate for a Coupled Lamé System with Viscoelastic Damping and Distributed Delay Terms [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2020
In this paper, we prove a general energy decay results of a coupled Lamé system with distributed time delay. By assuming a more general of relaxation functions and using some properties of convex functions, we establish the general energy decay results to the system by using an appropriate Lyapunov functional.

Distractor-resistant short-term memory is supported by transient changes in neural stimulus representations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Goal-directed behavior in a complex world requires the maintenance of goal-relevant information despite multiple sources of distraction. However, the brain mechanisms underlying distractor-resistant working or short-term memory (STM) are not fully ...

A volume-preserving sharpening approach for the propagation of sharp phase boundaries in multiphase lattice Boltzmann simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Lattice Boltzmann models that recover a macroscopic description of multiphase flow of immiscible liquids typically represent the boundaries between phases using a scalar function, the phase field, that varies smoothly over several grid points.
