Distributed Event-Triggered Estimation Over Sensor Networks: A Survey
An event-triggered mechanism is of great efficiency in reducing unnecessary sensor samplings/transmissions and, thus, resource consumption such as sensor power and network bandwidth, which makes distributed event-triggered estimation a promising resource-

Quantization for Distributed Estimation
2014 IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things(iThings), and IEEE Green Computing and Communications (GreenCom) and IEEE Cyber, Physical and Social Computing (CPSCom), 2014Distributed Estimation scheme has been widely used in sensor networks. Through various approaches, sum of bits, Sigma-Delta modulation, and source coding, this paper implements the above techniques for distributed estimation and provides a new one called Quantization Region Allocation.

Estimating the Distribution Function of a Symmetric Distribution
Biometrika, 1975SUMMARY This paper considers the problem of estimating the distribution function of a symmetric distribution when the centre of symmetry is unknown. An estimator is proposed which is shown to be asymptotically better than the empirical distribution function for well-known distributions including the normal, double exponential and Cauchy.

Estimation of an Exponential Distribution
Probability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences, 1997Consider a samplefrom an exponential distribution with unknown parameter θ From the sample, we wish to estimate the entire distribution,(Borel sets). If an estimatoris used for, we are concerned with proximity ofto, under total variation distance, the maximum likelihood estimate of θ, define, where, the 1 – (a/2) percentile from the standard normal ...

Estimating Latent Distributions
Psychometrika, 1984Consider vectors of item responses obtained from a sample of subjects from a population in which ability θ is distributed with density g (θ‖α), where the α are unknown parameters. Assuming the responses depend on θ through a fully specified item response model, this paper presents maximum likelihood equations for the estimation of the population ...

On the Distribution of the Estimated Coherence
IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2007The recent paper by Abdelfattah and Nicolas proposed a novel coherence magnitude estimator and studied its properties. Here, we derive simpler and more explicit expressions for four of the properties that were studied: 1) the probability density function; 2) moments; 3) Mellin transform; and 4) second-kind moments.

The Exact Distribution of the SUR Estimator
Econometrica, 1985This paper derives the exact finite sample distribution of the two-stage generalized least squares estimator in a multivariate linear model with general linear parameter restrictions. This includes the seemingly unrelated regression model as a special case and generalizes presently known exact results for the latter system.
