Dispersive-grating distributed feedback lasers

open access: yesOptics Express, 2008
This paper proposed a novel distributed feedback (DFB) laser by incorporating a dispersive grating, whose coupling strength is dependent on the operating wavelength. Analysis of the laser threshold conditions shows that the proposed structure guarantees single-mode operation due to the inherent threshold gain discrimination on the two otherwise ...

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

Feedback Sensitivity of DBR-Type Laser Diodes

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2021
It is shown theoretically that the feedback sensitivity of Distributed Bragg Reflector laser diodes with low-loss Bragg section decreases with the length of the Bragg section and also can be decreased by detuning from the Bragg peak.
