Distributed generation and distribution utilities
Energy Policy, 2002Distributed (co)generation (DG) represents an alternative paradigm of energy supply and the opportunity for significant CO2 emission reductions. This paper investigates the adoption of the DG technology of internal combustion (IC) engine cogeneration in the Netherlands and UK from 1985–1998.

Generalized cauchy distributions
Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics, 1957Statistical distributions of the form C(l + [' x | )~ are considered. For k = 2, m = 1 this is the Cauchy distribution. For k = 2, m == ^(n -\1), % == n~&, it is the Student-Fisher distribution with n degrees of freedom. The Cauchy distribution is of interest because the variance of the mean is infinite while that of the median is finite. In this paper

Electric Distribution Systems, Second Edition, 2018
Power losses and their regulation is a key issue in modern electrical systems, especially in distribution networks. In the last few years, the number of distributed energy resources has grown dramatically, emphasising the importance of knowing in detail ...

On a generalization of distributivity
Journal of Symbolic Logic, 1994In this paper, we generalize the notion of distributivity and consider some properties of distributive ideals, that is, ideals I such that the algebra P(κ)/I is distributive in our sense. Our notation and terminology is explained in §1, while the main results of this paper begin in §2.
