Distributed Kalman Filter with Embedded Consensus Filters
Proceedings of the 44th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2006The problem of distributed Kalman filtering (DKF) for sensor networks is one of the most fundamental distributed estimation problems for scalable sensor fusion. This paper addresses the DKF problem by reducing it to two separate dynamic consensus problems in terms of weighted measurements and inverse-covariance matrices.

Distributed Kalman filtering for sensor networks
2007 46th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2007In this paper, we introduce three novel distributed Kalman filtering (DKF) algorithms for sensor networks. The first algorithm is a modification of a previous DKF algorithm presented by the author in CDC-ECC '05. The previous algorithm was only applicable to sensors with identical observation matrices which meant the process had to be observable by ...

Distributed Kalman Filtering with quantized sensing state
2015 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2015This paper studies a Quantized Gossip-based Interactive Kalman Filtering (QGIKF) algorithm implemented in a wireless sensor network, where the sensors exchange their quantized states with neighbors via inter-sensor communications. We show that with the information loss due to quantization, the network can still achieve weak consensus, i.e., the ...

Diffusion Strategies for Distributed Kalman Filtering and Smoothing
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2010We study the problem of distributed Kalman filtering and smoothing, where a set of nodes is required to estimate the state of a linear dynamic system from in a collaborative manner. Our focus is on diffusion strategies, where nodes communicate with their direct neighbors only, and the information is diffused across the network through a sequence of ...

Scalable distributed Kalman filtering through consensus
2008 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2008Kalman filtering is a classical technique with a number of potential distributed applications in sensor networks. In this paper we consider a specific algorithm for distributed Kalman filtering proposed recently by Olfati-Saber [Olfati-Saber, 2005 ].

Distributed ensemble Kalman filter for multisensor application
2013 IEEE 14th International Conference on Information Reuse & Integration (IRI), 2013In this paper, a distributed ensemble Kalman filter (DEnKF) is proposed for sensor fusion in a sensor network. To solve data fusion problem in distributed sensor network, consensus filter is implemented. To estimates nodes' states, each node uses local and neighbors' information rather than the information from all nodes in the network. So, due to this

Proposed Distributed Kalman Filter
2012In this chapter, the DKF problem is addressed by reducing it into a dynamic consensus problem in term of weighted average estimates matrix that can be viewed as data fusion problem. We have presented a Distributed Kalman Filter based on polynomial filter to accelerate the distributed average consensus in the static network topologies.

Synchronization of distributed simulations-a Kalman filter approach
2002 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37353), 2003In recent years distributed computing has been a strong trend in many areas of technical development. However, the abandoning of a centralized control flow leads to the problem of synchronizing many different actors involved in such a system. We present a new way of coupling real-time interactive simulation tools, for instance professional flight ...
