DiLeNA: Distributed Ledger Network Analyzer [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
This paper describes the Distributed Ledger Network Analyzer (DiLeNA), a new software tool for the analysis of the transactions network recorded in Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs). The set of transactions in a DLT forms a complex network. Studying its characteristics and peculiarities is of paramount importance, in order to understand how users ...

DAG-type Distributed Ledgers via Young-age Preferential Attachment [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Distributed Ledger Technologies provide a mechanism to achieve ordering among transactions that are scattered on multiple participants with no prerequisite trust relations. This mechanism is essentially based on the idea of new transactions referencing older ones in a chain structure.

Revisiting Traceability of Vegetable Fresh‐Products in the EU: Why Blockchain Does (Not) Work?

open access: yesInternet Technology Letters, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Food safety is paramount for a healthy society. Traceability provides the means for a rapid response to any type of food‐related problem at any stage of the supply chain. This study delves into the application of blockchain technology in tracking vegetable products within the European Union's regulatory framework.

Development of a physiologically‐based pharmacokinetic model for Ritonavir characterizing exposure and drug interaction potential at both acute and steady‐state conditions

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 523-539, March 2025.
Abstract Ritonavir (RTV) is a potent CYP3A inhibitor that is widely used as a pharmacokinetic (PK) enhancer to increase exposure to select protease inhibitors. However, as a strong and complex perpetrator of CYP3A interactions, RTV can also enhance the exposure of other co‐administered CYP3A substrates, potentially causing toxicity.

Leveraging Blockchain and Smart Contracts to Combat Greenwashing in Sustainable Development

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Blockchain technology, when combined with smart contracts, enables buyers to distinguish between greenwashed and genuinely eco‐friendly products. The presence of counterfeit items can severely impact supply chains by diminishing brand value, eroding consumer confidence, and undermining market trust.

Blockchain‐Based Federated Learning Methodologies in Smart Environments for Drone Technology

open access: yesIEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, EarlyView.
High‐security transactions are stored in a chain of blocks using blockchain technology. Security and privacy concerns may be addressed by using blockchain technology. Federated learning is a paradigm for increasing data mining accuracy and precision by ensuring data privacy and security for both internet of things (IoT) devices and users in smart ...

Realizing a blockchain solution without blockchain? Blockchain, solutionism, and trust

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Blockchain is employed as a technology holding a solutionist promise, while at the same time, it is hard for the promissory blockchain applications to become realized. Not only is the blockchain protocol itself not foolproof, but when we move from “blockchain in general” to “blockchain in particular,” we see that new governance structures and ...
