Parameter identification in linear distributed parameter systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1973
Perturbation analysis is used to identify unknown but constant parameters in a linear distributed parameter system. Noisy observations are assumed to be available at a finite number of spatial locations. A numerical example is solved to illustrate the proposed method.

Distributed Parameter System Modeling

2014
This chapter discusses a distributed parameter system modeling of ionic polymer-metal composite actuators based on modified Yamaue’s electro-stress diffusion coupling model. The lowest order linear time invariant state equation with the spatial variable is derived to carry out the simulation.

SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS OF DISTRIBUTED PARAMETER SYSTEMS

Proceedings of the Technical University of Sofia, 2020
The paper considers the problem of distributed parameter systems modeling. The basic model types are presented, depending on the partial differential equation, which determines the physical processes dynamics. The similarities and the differences with the models described in terms of ordinary differential equations are discussed. A special attention is

Stability of Nonlinear Distributed Parameter Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1977
Abstract The stability problem for the equation ẋ = Ax + Bx, where A generates a semigroup T(t) and B is a nonlinear operator, is studied by using the Lyapunov functional V ( x ) = 〈 ∫ 0 ∞ T * ( t ) QT ( t ) xdt , x 〉 for some positive selfadjoint operator Q.

Compensator Design for Distributed Parameter Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983
Abstract Stabilization of linear finite dimensional systems is an important design problem in systems control theory and continues to receive much atten tion in the literature. The problem of stabilization of infinite dimensional linear systems is a much harder problem and the results are less complete.

A distributed parameter system simulator

SIMULATION, 1986
A simple and easy-to-use computer simulator (TDP) t for distrib uted parameter systems is presented. The simulator is based on commercially available TWODEPEP (a partial differential equa tion solver), to which measurement and control software mod ules have been added.

Parameter identification in distributed systems

Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1985
This paper describes a method for the identification of the parameters entering into the equations of motion of distributed systems. Because the motion of distributed systems is described in terms of partial differential equations, these parameters are in general continuous functions of the spatial variables.

Systems with distributed parameters

1987
In applied sciences, by systems with distributed parameters we mean systems described by partial differential equations. The heat diffusion equation (7.0.1) or the wave equation (7.0.2) are examples of such systems.
