Enhancing the Seismic Resilience of Masonry‐Infilled RC Structures Using Rubber Joints: Full‐Scale 3D Shaking Table Tests

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Masonry infills in reinforced concrete (RC) frames are highly vulnerable to seismic damage, often sustaining severe cracking even under moderate ground motion, which in turn leads to considerable economic losses and safety risks. To address this issue, this study experimentally evaluates the effectiveness of two innovative rubber‐based joints ...

Recent advances and prospects for high‐efficiency blue hot exciton organic light‐emitting diodes

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Blue organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) face great challenges in achieving the balance between color purity, device efficiency, and stability. Hot exciton materials offer a solution by rapidly converting non‐emissive triplet excitons into singlet ones through a high‐lying reverse intersystem crossing process.

Multi‐command wearable magnetic human‐machine interface enabled by low‐noise sensing and time‐series deep learning

open access: yesInfoScience, EarlyView.
This study integrates a wrist‐worn sensing platform based on a low‐noise planar Hall magnetoresistive sensor with time‐series deep learning to enable long‐range, single‐sensor, multi‐command gesture recognition with high accuracy. Further evaluations show reliable generalization across different days, previously unseen users, wearing‐position ...

Steady‐State and Dynamic Behavior of Geometry‐Tunable Microfluidic Passive Flow Regulators

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Passive microfluidic flow regulators exhibit geometry‐dependent dynamic behavior, where channel width governs the resistance–compliance interactions within the system. Narrow channels produce faster responses with higher bandwidth, while wider channels yield slower responses and stronger attenuation.

Revealing Airflow–Particle Dynamics in Dry Powder Inhalers

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
An integrated framework combining device and formulation characterization, CFD–DEM simulations, and interpretable machine learning is established. This framework reveals how airflow and particle interactions govern powder dispersion across prevailing dry powder inhalers.

Kirigami‐Inspired Deployable Microneedle Robot With Enhanced Conformability for Targeted Oral Drug Delivery

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We have engineered a kirigami‐inspired deployable microneedle robot (KiriBot) capable of remotely controlled attachment to target tissues for sustained drug release. KiriBot incorporates a flexible structure that enhances conformability, improves adherence to irregular tissues, and facilitates microneedle insertion.
