A flexible virtual inertial control algorithm for ship with propulsion load and pulse load

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, 2021
The pulse load of an integrated power system (IPS) ship can produce very high power intermittently in a short period of time. Owing to the limited DC bus capacitance, the periodic pulse load charging and discharging process can make the IPS system state ...

Artificial three-body equilibria for hybrid low-thrust propulsion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper proposes a new concept of creating artificial equilibrium points in the circular restricted three body problem, where the third body uses a hybrid of solar sail and solar electric propulsion.

Structural and biochemical analysis of a B12 superbinder

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
BtuG proteins are vitamin B12 scavengers in Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, a dominant human gut bacterium. We present crystal structures of three BtuG homologs bound to cobalamin and its precursor cobinamide, revealing picomolar binding affinities, among the highest known for any natural protein.
