Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Optimizing the exploitation of persistent scatterers in satellite radar interferometry

open access: yes, 2019
Time-series synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) has evolved into a widely preferred geodetic technique for measuring topography and surface deformation of the earth.

Holographic imaging of an array of submicron light scatterers at low photon numbers

open access: yes, 2023
We experimentally test a recently proposed holographic method for imaging coherent light scatterers which are distributed over a 2-dimensional grid. In our setup the scatterers consist of a back-illuminated, opaque mask with submicron-sized holes.

Improved Maximum Likelihood Estimation for Optimal Phase History Retrieval of Distributed Scatterers in InSAR Stacks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Distributed scatterer (DS) decorrelation poses a challenge to multibaseline SAR interferometry. To overcome this challenge, the SqueeSAR retrieves an optimal phase time-series using a maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) method, which has been commonly ...

T1 Over Squared Proton Density Ratio to Characterize Multiple Sclerosis Lesions

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Differentiating remyelinated from demyelinated lesions in MS remains challenging without histological confirmation. This study introduces the T1‐to‐PD2 ratio (TPR) imaging approach and evaluates its ability to characterize MS lesions alongside other quantitative MRI (qMRI) metrics. Methods Thirty individuals with MS (mean age: 47.5 ±

Separation of multiple scatterers in NEWS experiments using Independent Component Analysis (ICA)

open access: yes, 2010
Nonlinear elastic wave spectroscopy combined with imaging techniques such as acoustic time reversal (NEWS-TR) or sparse array tomography is a promising new methodology for detecting microdamage at an early stage.

Monitoring Cultural Heritage Sites with Advanced Multi-Temporal InSAR Technique: The Case Study of the Summer Palace

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2016
Cultural heritage sites are rare and irreplaceable wealth of human civilization. The majority of them are becoming unstable due to a combination of human and natural disturbances.

Cognitive and Neuroimaging Divergence Between Juvenile and Adult FUS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Fused in sarcoma (FUS)‐associated juvenile ALS (jALS) represents a distinct and aggressive subgroup with rapid deterioration and poor prognosis.

Volume scattering of 3-D discrete scatterers by using UV multilevel partitioning method

open access: yes, 2010
A fast method-UV multilevel partitioning method (UV-MLP) is developed to solve volume scattering by 3-D random-distributed scatterers. In the method Foldy-lax equations with higher order spherical partial wave expansions are used for spherical scatterers.
