Proceedings of the 2005 ACM workshop on Storage security and survivability, 2005
The rapid increase of sensitive data and the growing number of government regulations that require longterm data retention and protection have forced enterprises to pay serious attention to storage security. In this paper, we discuss important security issues related to storage and present a comprehensive survey of the security services provided by the

Efficient storage management for distributed storage system
SPIE Proceedings, 2011As storage systems grow larger and more complex, the traditional block-based file systems cannot satisfy the large workload. More recent distributed file systems have adopted architectures based on object-based storage. This paper presents a framework of efficient storage management for distributed storage system.

Smart storage: Embedding local storage in the distribution grid
2013 IEEE Grenoble Conference, 2013The Smart Storage Unit (SSU) is a centralized smart battery system, capable of storing approximately 230 kWh of electrical energy. Its objectives are the increase of self-consumption, reliability and flexibility, to reduce losses and to maximize the utilization of local infrastructure. First, a technical description of the SSU is given.

Distributed Information Storage Architecture
[1993] Proceedings Twelfth IEEE Symposium on Mass Storage systems, 2002The authors describe the Distributed Information Storage Architecture (DISA) defined and prototyped at Hewlett-Packard by the Networked Systems Architecture organization. In the first phase of the project, an architecture framework was defined that isolated storage-management functions from database and file-management systems. The idea was to identify

CIRRUS: Distributed Cloud Storage
2018 Seventh ICT International Student Project Conference (ICT-ISPC), 2018Disk storage space is necessary for everyone who uses computer. The demand for the storage space of each individual can vary across different type of usage over time. Typically, a non-technical person will need smaller amount of storage space than a computer technician.

Distributive Information Storage
2018The distribution of information occurs in various situations. Two well-known examples are parallel processing and secret sharing schemes. In parallel computers the data are distributed among the processors in order to speed up the computation. In secret sharing schemes portions of the secret key are distributed among several people in such a way that ...

Storage Cycle Budget Distribution
1998In our design methodology, the memory architecture is optimized as a first step before doing the detailed scheduling, and data-path and controller synthesis. Therefore, it has to provide sufficient storage bandwidth (parallel memory ports) such that the application can be scheduled within the cycle budget afterwards. Determining optimal constraints for
