The genus Selaginella P. BEAUV. (Selaginellaceae, Lycopodiopsida) in Poland: The occurrence of three species as a result of the historical material verification

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2023
Two species of the Selaginella genus were noted in Poland up to date, i.e. S. selaginoides and S. helvetica . The first species occurs in the Western Carpathians and the Western Sudetes, however, its Sudeten sites were less numerous than previously ...

Distribution of vascular plants in Mongolia – III part

open access: yesMongolian Journal of Biological Sciences, 2023
In the third part of our series of papers, we selected 40 native taxa from 33 genera of 21 families, considering their high conservation relevance. The chosen 40 species included 19 threatened and four endemic species, and they belong to the following ...

Maps of area of habitat for Italian amphibians and reptiles [PDF]

open access: yesNature Conservation, 2022
Planning conservation actions requires detailed information on species’ geographic distribution. Species distribution data are most needed in areas hosting unique or endangered biodiversity.

Distribution-on-distribution regression via optimal transport maps [PDF]

open access: yesBiometrika, 2022
Summary We present a framework for performing regression when both covariate and response are probability distributions on a compact interval. Our regression model is based on the theory of optimal transportation, and links the conditional Fréchet mean of the response to the covariate via an optimal transport map.

Producing Distribution Maps for a Spatially-Explicit Ecosystem Model Using Large Monitoring and Environmental Databases and a Combination of Interpolation and Extrapolation

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2018
To be able to simulate spatial patterns of predator-prey interactions, many spatially-explicit ecosystem modeling platforms, including Atlantis, need to be provided with distribution maps defining the annual or seasonal spatial distributions of ...

Potential Range Map Dataset of Indian Birds

open access: yesData, 2023
Conservation management heavily relies on accurate species distribution data. However, distributional information for most species is limited to distributional range maps, which could not have enough resolution to take conservation action and know ...

Connecting species’ geographical distributions to environmental variables: range maps versus observed points of occurrence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Connecting the geographical occurrence of a species with underlying environmental variables is fundamental for many analyses of life history evolution and for modeling species distributions for both basic and practical ends.
