Mathematical treatment of sequence distribution in terpolymers

European Polymer Journal, 1970
Abstract The problem of sequence distribution in terpolymers is treated. Mathematical expressions are given for the main quantities characteristic of such a distribution (sequence, unit and bond fractions, average sequence length, number and length of the blocks contained between two successive sequences of the same monomer).

Some Mathematical Statistics for the Normal Distribution

1995
We will derive in this chapter several elementary facts for the normal distribution and for basic statistics based on normal observations. The use of a normal model for a set of data is traditionally suggested by the central limit theorem and is, therefore, the most extensively studied one.

A mathematical model of friendship choice distribution

The Journal of Mathematical Sociology, 1980
A mathematical model of friendship choice distribution is proposed. The model differs from other models in that it takes into account certain structural factors in sociometric relations. Two theoretical distributions are derived from a set of assumptions as two approximations to satisfy those assumptions.

Mathematical Model for Water Distribution Systems

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1971
A mathematical model is developed for predicting the steady-state flow pattern for a water distribution system consisting of conduits, pumps, pressure-reducing valves, and reservoirs. The model is a computerized numerical simulation of the network. Because each component of the network is governed by a nonlinear flow formula, the equilibrium of flow in
