On a certain characterisation of the semigroup of positive natural numbers with multiplication

open access: yesAnnales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis: Studia Mathematica, 2022
In this paper we continue our investigation concerning the concept of a liken. This notion has been defined as a sequence of non-negative real numbers, tending to infinity and closed with respect to addition in R.

Riemann zeta fractional derivative—functional equation and link with primes

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
This paper outlines further properties concerning the fractional derivative of the Riemann ζ function. The functional equation, computed by the introduction of the Grünwald–Letnikov fractional derivative, is rewritten in a simplified form that reduces ...

Long-term monitoring reveals topographical features and vegetation that explain winter habitat use of an Arctic rodent

open access: yesArctic Science, 2022
The quality of wintering habitats, such as depth of snow cover, plays a key role in sustaining population dynamics of Arctic lemmings. However, few studies so far investigated habitat use during the Arctic winter.

Scale invariant correlations and the distribution of prime numbers

open access: yes, 2009
Negative correlations in the distribution of prime numbers are found to display a scale invariance. This occurs in conjunction with a nonstationary behavior.

On product sets of arithmetic progressions

open access: yesDiscrete Analysis, 2023
On product sets of arithmetic progressions, Discrete Analysis 2023:10, 31 pp. The _multiplication table problem_ is a very simply stated question of Erdős: how many numbers appear in the multiplication table of the numbers from 1 to $n$?

Harmonic numbers, harmonic series and zeta function

open access: yesMoroccan Journal of Pure and Applied Analysis, 2018
This paper reviews, from different points of view, results on Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, the distribution of prime numbers in connexion with the Riemann hypothesis. We give an account on the theorem of G. Robin, as formulated by J. Lagarias.

For the people by the people: Citizen science web interface for real‐time monitoring of tick risk areas in Finland

open access: yesEcological Solutions and Evidence, 2023
Ticks and tick‐borne diseases (TBDs) form a significant and growing threat to human health and well‐being in Europe, with increasing numbers of tick‐borne encephalitis (TBE) and Lyme borreliosis cases being reported during the past few decades ...

Personalized Selumetinib Dosing in Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Insights From a Pilot Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Distribution Order of Prime and Composite Numbers

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2022
Abstract This paper presents a simple analytical method for identifying prime numbers and determining composite numbers. It has been shown that the primes are ordered and all are placed on 96 half-lines. One linear equation and 8 numbers are enough for all calculations.
