A Distributed Connectionist Production System
Cognitive Science, 1988DCPS is a connectionist production system interpreter that uses distributed representations. As a connectionist model it consists of many simple, richly interconnected neuron‐like computing units that cooperate to solve problems in parallel. One motivation for constructing DCPS was to demonstrate that connectionist models are capable of representing ...

The common-carrier distribution network for the Luzianne food product line is discussed, along with modifications under consideration. Considerations governing the design of a simulation model of the network are enumerated. The Distribution Simulator (DSIM) developed for this application is then described and early computational experience included.

This chapter covers the technologies of printing, including a section on printing presses, as well as the development of the supply trades (type, paper and ink) and the distribution of print. It considers the organisation of work in the print shop and the early growth of trade associations particularly among operative printers.

The product of the distributions and
Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1972In the following a distribution or a generalized function f is denned, as by Gelfand and Shilov(2) or by Temple (3), as a continuous linear functional on the space K of infinitely differentiable test functions ø having compact support. The value of f at a test function ø will be denoted by (f, ø).A sequence of test functions {øn} is said to be a null ...

Research on the printing and production of popular literature in Ireland is hampered by a comparative shortage of primary sources. The most recent survey of the Dublin trade before 1800 remarks that ‘surviving primary documents connected with the book trade are particularly rare’ and the principal article on provincial printing begins by pointing out ...

Colombeau product of distributions
2015In this paper some products of distributions are derived. The results are obtained in Colombeau algebra of generalized functions, which is the most relevant algebraic construction for dealing with Schwartz distributions. Colombeau algebra G(R)contains the space D0(R)of Schwartz distributions as a subspace and has a notion of 'association' that allows ...

Production, Supply, Logistics, and Distribution
2009To effectively manage a supply chain it is necessary to coordinate the flow of materials and information both within and among companies. This flow goes from suppliers to consumers, as it passes through manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers. While materials and information move through the supply chain, automation is used in a variety of forms and ...
