Electric energy replacement is the umbrella term for the use of electric energy to replace oil (e.g., electric automobiles), coal (e.g., electric heating), and gas (e.g., electric cooking appliances), which increases the electrical load peak, causing ...

Failure Diagnosis and Root-Cause Analysis of In-Service and Defective Distribution Transformers
Diagnostic data of transformers are essential in determining their integrity and to estimate their reliability. Such diagnostic data is not available for distribution transformers as only meagre attempts are made to accumulate this information.

Greening elements in the distribution networks
Due to climate change and the increase in environmental awareness in the world, the concept of Green Supply Chain Management appeared. The concept is aimed at the reduction of several elements: energy, materials, the pollution and the waste in production

On Distributions and Their Transformation to Normality
Summary Further consideration is given to a family of power transformations discussed by Box and Cox (1964). It is shown that this family of transformations can be useful even in situations where no power transformation can produce normality exactly. The precision of estimation of the transformation parameter is also discussed.

Configurations, Power Topologies and Applications of Hybrid Distribution Transformers
Distribution systems are under constant stress due to their highly variable operating conditions, which jeopardize distribution transformers and lines, degrading the end-user service.

The Distributed Karhunen–Loève Transform [PDF]
The Karhunen-Loeve transform is a key element of many signal processing tasks, including classification and compression. In this paper, we consider distributed signal processing scenarios with limited communication between correlated sources, and we investigate a distributed Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT).
