Prediction algorithms are regularly used to support and automate high-stakes policy decisions about the allocation of scarce public resources. However, data-driven decision-making raises problems of algorithmic fairness and justice.

Distribution-Free Property-Testing [PDF]
We consider the problem of distribution-free property-testing of functions. In this setting of property-testing, the distance between functions is measured with respect to a fixed but unknown distribution $D$ on the domain. The testing algorithms are given oracle access to random sampling from the domain according to this distribution $D$.

Center and Quasi Center on Banach Normal Hyperalgebra [PDF]
In this paper, we prove that every strongly distributive hyperalgebra is normal. Also, we prove that if X is a normed normal hyperalgebra with a propertyza◦x.zb◦y = zab◦xy and |λ| > ‖x‖, then (zλ◦e − x) is invertible. Moreover, we give a characterization

Distributivity, partitioning, and the multiplication algorithm
Multiplicative thinking underpins much of the mathematics learned beyond the middle primary years. As such, it needs to be understood conceptually to highlight the connections between its many aspects.

Measurement of Countable Compactness and Lindelöf Property in RL-Fuzzy Topological Spaces
Based on the concepts of pseudocomplement of L-subsets and the implication operator where L is a completely distributive lattice with order-reversing involution, the definition of countable RL-fuzzy compactness degree and the Lindelöf property degree of ...

The Entitlement Theory of Justice in Nozick’s Anarchy, State and Utopia [PDF]
Nozick’s entitlement theory of justice has its major attempts to defend the institution of private property and to criticize the redistributive measures on the part of government.

Core compactness of ordered topological spaces
In this paper, we investigate the property of core compactness of ordered topological spaces. Particularly, we give a series of characterizations of the core compactness for directed spaces. Several results obtained in this paper are closely related to a
