Semidegenerate Congruence-modular Algebras Admitting a Reticulation
The reticulation L(R) of a commutative ring R was introduced by Joyal in 1975, then the theory was developed by Simmons in a remarkable paper published in 1980. L(R) is a bounded distributive algebra whose main property is that the Zariski prime

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

The Costs of Construction and Housing Prices: A Full-Cost Pricing or Tendering Theory?
While construction costs and housing prices are implicitly examined in the construction economics literature, dedicated studies on their theoretical underpinning are rare.

Distribution Properties ofG-Additive Functions
The present paper is devoted to a study of the distribution properties modulo 1 of \(G\)-additive functions. The authors consider numeration systems with respect to a linear recurring sequence \(G= (G_k)\) and study arithmetic functions satisfying \[ f \left( \sum^K_{k=0} \varepsilon_k G_k \right) = \sum^K_{k=0} f(\varepsilon_k G_k).

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...
