Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Monoids with tests and the algebra of possibly non-halting programs

open access: yes, 2015
We study the algebraic theory of computable functions, which can be viewed as arising from possibly non-halting computer programs or algorithms, acting on some state space, equipped with operations of composition, if-then-else and while-do defined in ...

The distributive hull of a ring

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1990
In [2], Davison has shown that every R-module M which is locally nonzero at every maximal ideal of R has a maximal distributive extension and has raised the question: Is this unique up to M-isomorphism, in which case one can denote it by D(M) and call it the distributive hull of M [l, 51.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Hidden constructions in abstract algebra Krull Dimension of distributive lattices and commutative rings

open access: yes, 2001
International audienceWe present constructive versions of Krull's dimension theory for commutative rings and distributive lattices. The foundations of these constructive versions are due to Joyal, Español and the authors. We show that the notion of Krull

Right Gaussian rings and related topics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Prüfer domains are commutative domains in which every non -zero finitely generated ideal is invertible. Since such domains play a central role in multiplicative ideal theory, any equivalent condition to the Prüfer domain notion is of great interest. It

Divisibility theory of semi-hereditary rings

open access: yes, 2010
The semigroup of finitely generated ideals partially ordered by inverse inclusion, i.e., the divisibility theory of semi-hereditary rings, is precisely described by semi-hereditary Bezout semigroups.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
