The evolutionary breakdown of distyly inLinum tenuifolium (Linaceae)
Plant Systematics and Evolution, 1985Distyly inLinum tenuifolium L. is associated with a high degree of self-incompatibility. Breakdown in this system has occurred without the morphological rearrangement expected as the result of cross-over within the distyly supergene. Pollen-flow in both distylous and monomorphic populations is leptokurtic.

THE PROBABLE GENETICS OF DISTYLY IN GELSEMIUM SEMPERVIRENS (LOGANIACEAE)
Canadian Journal of Genetics and Cytology, 1980A crossing program with Gelsemium sempervirens (L.) Javme Saint-Hilaire was used to obtain progenies for determination of the genetic basis of distyly in this species. The results suggest that in G. sempervirens, pins are homozygous recessive (ss) and thrums are heterozygous (Ss) with thrum dominant over pin.
