Effect of Dithiothreitol Treatment of Plasma on Automated Anti-D Assay

Vox Sanguinis, 1985
Abstract. A study of automated anti‐D quantitation on untreated and dithiothreitol (DTT) pre‐treated plasma has been undertaken. The results indicate that in most cases pre‐treatment of plasma with DTT causes a reduction in the anti‐D level detected. In one case such treatment caused the anti‐D level to fall to less than 50% of its original value. DTT

Dithiothreitol-capped red emitting copper nanoclusters as highly effective fluorescent nanoprobe for cobalt (II) ions sensing

, 2021
Herein, red emitting copper nanoclusters (Cu NCs) were synthesized by employing dithiothreitol (DTT) as both the capping and reducing agent at room temperature. The synthesis route was facile, rapid and efficient.

A newly devised flow cytometric antibody binding assay helps evaluation of dithiothreitol treatment for the inactivation of CD38 on red blood cells

Vox Sanguinis, 2020
AbstractBackground and objectivesAnti‐CD38 monoclonal antibodies, including daratumumab and isatuximab, often interfere with pretransfusion testing. Dithiothreitol (DTT) treatment of red blood cells (RBCs) negates this interference. However, the optimum DTT concentration and treatment time have not been well defined.

Highly sensitive colorimetric detection of arsenite based on reassembly-induced oxidase-mimicking activity inhibition of dithiothreitol-capped Pd nanozyme

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2019
Given that hypertoxic arsenite (As3+) poses a serious threat to the environment and global health, developing high-performance, low-cost and easy-to-use approaches to specifically monitor As3+ in environmental matrices turns to be of great importance. In

Lead(II)-dithiothreitol equilibria and their potential influence on lead inhibition of 5-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase in in vitro assays

Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, 1991
Dithiothreitol (threo-2,3-dihydroxy-1,4-dithiobutane = DTT) has recently been used to activate 5-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase in kinetic studies for the inhibition of this zinc enzyme by lead. Since the DTT molecule contains donor groups capable of forming metal ion complexes, its presence in the experimental medium used for this kind of assay may ...

The Interaction of Dithiothreitol and Acetyl Coenzyme A in a Radiochemical Assay for Rat Brain ATP:Citrate Oxaloacetate Lyase

Journal of Neurochemistry, 1981
Abstract: [14C]Acetyl‐CoA was found to react spontaneously with dithiothreitol to give a relatively apolar product which was readily extractable into a butanol‐toluene scintillant. This technique was used in a rapid, reproducible assay for rat brain ATP:citrate lyase using [1,5‐14C]citrate as substrate.

An online instrument for assessing oxidative potential of ambient particulate matter via dithiothreitol assay, using particle-into-liquid sampler (PILS) coupled with improved light absorption measurement

Atmospheric Environment
The oxidative potential (OP) of airborne particulate matter (PM) is a valuable metric for assessing PM toxicity. Here we present an online system capable of measuring OP using the acellular dithiothreitol (DTT) assay with hourly resolution. The system consists of a particle-into-liquid sampler (PILS) as online sampling component, a solution ...
