Adaptive Genomic Divergence Across Altitudes in Capsella bursa‐pastoris

open access: yesBiological Diversity, EarlyView.
Genomic divergence was observed between high‐altitude and low‐altitude populations of Capsella bursa‐pastoris in China, consistent with an important role of ecological factors. Candidate adaptive loci associated with enhanced energy metabolism, photoprotection, and growth plasticity under altitudinal stress were identified.

The Impact of Diurnal Variability of Sea Surface Temperature on Air–Sea Heat Flux Estimation over the Northwest Pacific Ocean

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Accurate and consistent observations of diurnal variability of sea surface temperature (SST DV) and its impact on air–sea heat fluxes over large areas for extended periods are challenging due to their short time scale and wide coverage.

Diurnal Surface Flux Variability Over Western Boundary Currents

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2019
An analysis of a satellite ocean surface turbulent flux product demonstrated that, as expected, the western boundary current regions dominate the seasonal cycle amplitude.

Diurnal tidal variability in the upper mesosphere and lower thermosphere

open access: yes, 1997
International audienceWe explore tropospheric latent heat release as a source of variability of the diurnal tide in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere (MLT) in two ways.

A mosaic of microclimates: biodiversity outcomes and wildlife habitat potential in large‐scale solar facilities

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The rapid global expansion of photovoltaic (PV) solar facilities, now comprising nearly 80% of the recent and projected growth of renewable electricity, represents one of the most significant land‐use changes of the 21st century. While PV facilities are critical for decarbonising energy systems, their large spatial footprint and infrastructure

Health Risk Assessment by Exposure to BTEX Ambient Levels in the Metropolitan Area of Monterrey During Two Climatic Seasons

open access: yesAtmosphere
Levels of BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and p-Xylene) were determined in the ambient air of two urban sites located in the Metropolitan Area of Monterrey (MAM) during two climatic seasons of 2023.

Diurnal blood pressure profiles and variability in normotensive ambulant subjects

open access: yes, 1987
The 24‐hour variability in blood pressure and heart rate of 14 normotensive subjects was examined under ambulatory conditions with a continuous, invasive method. The results were analysed with 30‐second means calculated from beat‐to‐beat values.

Orchard netting impacts on biodiversity leading to cascading effects at the ecosystem level

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Agriculture must ensure food production without further compromising the ecosystem functions upon which it depends. Agricultural practices should therefore avoid harming farmland biodiversity, especially of taxa that supply the key ecosystem services (e.g.
