Cabomba caroliniana and Schoenoplectus californicus as Antifouling Candidates: Anti‐Attachment and Toxicological Effects in Aurelia coerulea (Cnidaria, Scyphozoa)

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, Volume 41, Issue 6, Page 356-372, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Biofouling on artificial surfaces in aquatic ecosystems leads to significant economic losses. Current antifouling paints, while effective, often harm the aquatic environment. This study explores ecologically safe antifouling alternatives derived from plants, focusing on the aquatic macrophytes Cabomba caroliniana (CC) and Schoenoplectus ...

Photoelectrocatalytic Oxidation of Diuron in Ethanol: Performance, Synergy, and Toxicity Assessment of Ti‐Based Mixed‐Metal‐Oxides Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 5, May 2026.
Photoelectrocatalysis in an ethanol medium enables highly efficient diuron removal using mixed‐metal‐oxide anodes, while benefiting from a greener, recyclable organic solvent that actively promotes radical generation. IrO2 shows strong synergy between light and current without additional energy cost.

Efeitos de misturas de dinitramine e diuron em pré-plantio incorporado na cultura do algodão (Gossypium hirsutum L.) Effects of dinitramine and diuron mixtures applied pre-planting incorporated on cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 1982

Determination of Diuron in Wheat

open access: yesJournal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1973
Abstract A simplified analytical procedure is described for the determination of diuron residues in a large number of wheat grain samples. The sample is subjected to Soxhlet extraction with acetone, the extract is dissolved in an acetone-aqueous phase (1+5) and then extracted with petroleum ether, and diuron is extracted into methylene ...

Determining if preemergent herbicide injury on ThryvOn cotton alters management strategies

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Abstract Glyphosate‐resistant Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus Palmeri S. Wats.) caused cotton growers to increase the use of preemergence (PRE) herbicides. These herbicides can cause crop injury, which increases the susceptibility window of cotton to thrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae).

Pesticide prioritization based on risk and model diet proposals for assessing cumulative exposure to pesticide residues in the Brazilian population through food consumption

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 4, Page 3853-3873, April 2026.
A risk classification of registered pesticides in Brazil was conducted, and the contribution of food to cumulative pesticide exposure was evaluated. Model diets were proposed, based on Brazilian consumption patterns. Abstract BACKGROUND Pesticide residue exposure assessments can be carried out during both the pre‐regulation and post‐regulation phases ...

Electromembrane Extraction for Multiclass Pesticide Assessment in Soil Matrices: Sustainable Analytical Insights

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Volume 6, Issue 2, March 2026.
The U‐shaped electromembrane extraction with liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry enables rapid multiclass pesticide screening in soil. The 15 min, low‐solvent workflow achieves high recoveries and robust linearity, while AGREEprep and GAPI assessments highlight a greener profile compared to literature reports, which represents a smart strategy for ...

The “Pesticide Chip”: Chemical Legacies and Agrarian Futures in Costa Rica

open access: yesAntipode, Volume 58, Issue 2, March 2026.
Abstract For decades, agro‐industrial capital has adopted cascading chemical and biotechnical interventions, or fixes, to secure accumulation through the cultivation of monocrops. We develop a framework that centres on how monocrop‐induced susceptibility to pests and pathogens—and the patchwork of fixes to address these—produces uneven chemical ...
