This study presents a vascularized 3D tumor model to investigate immune–stromal–tumor interactions under allogeneic PBMC perfusion. While immune cells induced tumor shrinkage, they also promoted vascular regression, stromal activation, and cancer cell invasion.

Diving angle of great cormorants [PDF]
Seabirds can maximize the relative time spent at depths where prey occur by minimizing the commuting time taken to reach these depths. One way to achieve this goal is to modify dive angle, but there are few measures of dive-angle in free-foraging ...

cDC1 Subtype‐Specific In Vivo Targeting of Liposomes
Dendritic cells, particularly the cDC1 subtype, offer a promising target for drug delivery via liposomes due to their pivotal role in immune regulation, allowing for amplified therapeutic responses. Herein, we show an integration of physicochemical characterization and cell experiments to achieve effective in vivo cDC1 targeting through anti‐CLEC9A ...

The Regulatory Role of Iron Transporter SLC39A13 in Liver Fibrosis
SLC39A13/ZIP13, a newly discovered intracellular iron transporter, delivers iron to the ER/Golgi to catalyze procollagen hydroxylation during collagen maturation. Here, we systematically characterize the cell type‐specific functions of ZIP13 across distinct hepatic cell populations, and identify hepatic stellate cell‐specific ZIP13 as a promising and ...

Hematology as Related to Diving Characteristics of Elaphe obsoleta, Nerodia erythrogaster, Nerodia Fasciata and Nerodia rhombifera [PDF]
The diving capabilities of Nerodia erythrogaster flavigaster and Nerodia fasciata confluens were investigated and the results were compared with similar studies on Nerodia rhombifera rhombifera and Elaphe obsoleta obsoleta (Baeyens et al., 1978).

Periodontitis Induces B Cell‐Macrophage Crosstalk to Exacerbate Glucose Dysregulation in Obesity
In obesity, periodontitis exacerbates hyperglycemia and exhibits a liver‐centric preference for glucose regulation. This occurs through a periodontitis‐driven circuit between pathogenic B cells and hepatic macrophages. Their reciprocal expansion, orchestrated by the NLRP3/IL‐18 signaling pathway, amplifies metabolic inflammation and disrupts glucose ...

Nutritional Assessment During a 14-d Saturation Dive: the NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operation V Project [PDF]
Ground-based analogs of spaceflight are an important means of studying physiological and nutritional changes associated with space travel, particularly since exploration missions are anticipated, and flight research opportunities are limited.

Mitigating Electrochemical Isolation in Ni‐Rich Layered Cathodes for Durable Solid‐State Batteries
Electrochemical isolation of Ni‐rich layered cathodes in sulfide solid‐state batteries is uncovered as a previously unrecognized but critical performance‐limiting pathway. This study elucidates its origin and impact and introduces a scalable mitigation strategy using oxygen‐functionalized conductive carbon.
