Dieux du territoire et territorialité des dieux au Proche-Orient ancien

open access: yesPallas
Divine names often evoke the relationship of a deity to the space through several types of onomastic attributes. In the first place, toponymic names are analyzed through the Heliopolitan cult of Jupiter/Zeus.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A Critical Assessment of Negative Theology of Dionysus in the Light of Quran and Prophetic Traditions [PDF]

open access: yesComparative Theology, 2013
The most important aspect of divine names and attributes is their semantics. Human beings’ interpretation of this aspect will have a profound impact on the type of relationship they have with God as it is by these names and attributes that we know God ...

We Have Been Visited: Divine Encounter through the Lukan Benedictus (Luke 1:68–79)

open access: yesThe Biblical Annals, 2021
Recent discussions of the Benedictus have focused on its function in Luke- Acts. However, little if no attention has been given to the persuasive force of the passage and how it may have functioned to create a divine encounter for the implied audience ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Divine Names in Ritual Settings in the Dead Sea Scrolls

open access: yes
Previous studies on the Dead Sea Scrolls have focused on the use of the name Yhwh (Tetragrammaton) and its replacement with other names, especially El, Elohim, Adonaj, personal pronouns, and occasionally, four dots.
