Presentation of kernels of rational characters of right‐angled Artin groups
Abstract In this note, we characterise when the kernel of a rational character of a right‐angled Artin group, also known as generalised Bestiva–Brady group, is finitely generated and finitely presented. In these cases, we exhibit a finite generating set and a presentation.

Galois subfields of tame division algebras [PDF]
We show that a finite-dimensional tame division algebra D over a Henselian field F has a maximal subfield Galois over F if and only if its residue division algebra has a maximal subfield Galois over the residue field of F. This generalizes the mechanism behind several known noncrossed product constructions to a crossed product criterion for all tame ...

ABSTRACT Integer and modular arithmetic is a fundamental area of mathematics, with extensive applications in computer science, and is essential for cryptographic protocols, error correction, and algorithm efficiency. However, students often struggle to understand its abstract nature, especially when transitioning from theoretical knowledge to practical

Solving a Diophantine problem using different expressions of the difference of two squares
Guided discovery learning can be included in the teaching methods supporting independent and active learning. This paper presents ways how to create and implement guided discovery lessons focused on the investigation of some properties of natural numbers.

Hardwood Species Classification with Hyperspectral Microscopic Images
We propose a hardwood species identification method based on wood hyperspectral microscopic images. A SOC710VP hyperspectral stereomicroscope was used to acquire microscopic images of a hardwood cross section.

General Divisibility Criteria [PDF]
We believe we have made progress in the age-old problem of divisibility rules for integers. Universal divisibility rule is introduced for any divisor in any base number system. The divisibility criterion is written down explicitly as a linear form in the digits of the test number.

This article proposes a method for detecting partial discharge faults in substation GIS based on multi frequency signal CEEMDAN fusion processing algorithm. The main innovations are as follows: (1) Data acquisition and signal enhancement aspects. Segmented data collection: By analyzing the state structure of typical GIS partial discharge faults, the ...

Division Rings with Ranks [PDF]
Any superrosy division ring (i.e. a division ring equipped with an abstract notion of rank) is shown to be centrally finite. Furthermore, division rings satisfying a generalized chain condition on definable subgroups are studied. In particular, a division ring of burden n has dimension at most n over its center, and any definable group of definable ...
