Kenelm Digby (and Margaret Cavendish) on Motion
Motion—and, in particular, local motion or change in location—plays a central role in Kenelm Digby’s natural philosophy and in his arguments for the immateriality of the soul.

A Matrix Approach for Divisibility Properties of the Generalized Fibonacci Sequence
We give divisibility properties of the generalized Fibonacci sequence by matrix methods. We also present new recursive identities for the generalized Fibonacci and Lucas sequences.

Divisibility Properties of Recurrent Sequences
Let m, r ∈ N. We will show, that the recurrent sequences xn = x n r n−1 + 1 (mod g), xn = x n! n−1 + 1 (mod g) and xn = x r n n−1 + 1 (mod g) are periodic modulo m, where m ∈ N, and we will find some estimations of periods and pre-periodic parts.

On the Quality of Relational Justice
ABSTRACT By emphasising the role of concepts like social status, power and respect, all relational egalitarians seek to demonstrate that there is more to the political concept of equality than the distribution of goods. While there is a broad consensus on the nature of equality, however, the nature of justice is a matter of internal dispute. The aim of

Dogmatism and Easy Knowledge: Avoiding the Dialectic?
ABSTRACT This paper analyzes and objects to the anti‐skeptical strategy endorsed by Epistemological Dogmatism. Dogmatism is a theory of epistemic justification that holds perceptual warrant for our beliefs is immediate, based on experiential seemings. Crucially, it rejects requests for higher‐order justification or active defense of the justification ...

ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of problem‐posing on the mathematical proficiency and engagement of 56 Developmental Mathematics (DM) students enrolled in a noncredit college mathematics course. Using a quasi‐experimental design, one of two existing classes was selected as the experimental group and received a 5‐week intervention focused on

We will prove a theorem providing sufficient condition for the divisibility of class numbers of certain imaginary quadratic fields by 2g, where g>1 is an integer and the discriminant of such fields has only two prime divisors.

Abstract figure legend Regulatory mechanisms such as alternative splicing, post‐translational modification, membrane trafficking, and protein interactions control channel gating, membrane abundance, and overall activity of PIEZO2. Proper regulation supports PIEZO2‐dependent proprioceptive, somatosensory, nociceptive, pruriceptive and interoceptive ...

Floquet stroboscopic divisibility in non-Markovian dynamics
We provide a general description of a time-local master equation for a system coupled to a non-Markovian reservoir based on Floquet theory. This allows us to have a divisible dynamical map at discrete times, which we refer to as Floquet stroboscopic ...
