Enhanced Magnetization Switching Efficiency via Orbital‐Current‐Induced Torque in Ti/Ta (Pt)/CoFeB/MgO Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The orbital‐current‐induced torque is investigated as an efficient method for controlling magnetization direction. By introducing Ti as an orbital current source in Ti/Ta (or Pt)/CoFeB/MgO structures, the switching current is reduced by ∼25% compared to a conventional spin‐orbit torque structure of Ta/CoFeB/MgO.

Optimal Throughput Fairness Trade-offs for Downlink Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access over Fading Channels

open access: yes, 2018
Recently, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has attracted considerable interest as one of the 5G-enabling techniques. However, users with better channel conditions in downlink communications intrinsically benefits from NOMA thanks to successive ...

SCANNING-DLTS

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1989
Scanning Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (SDLTS) is a current SEM technique for the detection of the local distribution of deep level centres in semiconductors. The contribution deals with the physical foundations of the SDLTS technique and it discusses the demands on the instrumentation.

The Locus Coeruleus‐Periaqueductal Gray GABAergic Projection Regulates Comorbid Pain and Depression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LC‐GABA neurons exhibit elevated activity to noxious and aversive stimuli in chronic pain, and their activation alleviates pain‐ and depression‐like behaviors. While LC‐GABA neurons target LC‐NA neurons and GABA and Glu neurons in the vlPAG, they modulate the pain responses of LC‐NA neurons but regulate pain‐ and depression‐like behaviors through their

DLT-based Data Mules for Smart Territories

open access: yes2022 International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks (ICCCN), 2022
Many services that are taken for granted in smart cities are not even remotely available in dislocated areas yet, due to the lack of or too costly wide area network connectivity. With the aim to offer a practical and secure way to transport data and allow for communications in such constrained scenarios, we focus on the problem of incentivizing to data

TFT Backplanes Doped by BF2 Ion for Improved Stability and AMOLED Display Quality

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
BF₂ ion in LTPS TFT induces an additional shallow defect level near the valence band edge, which is confirmed by deep‐level transient spectroscopy test. BF₂ in the poly Si functions as a donor, facilitating mutual compensation of defect charges within the TFT channel, and consequently, BF₂‐doped TFT channels exhibit a lower density of deep‐level traps,

A Bayesian time-to-event pharmacokinetic model for sequential phase I dose-escalation trials with multiple schedules

open access: yes, 2020
Phase I dose-escalation trials constitute the first step in investigating the safety of potentially promising drugs in humans. Conventional methods for phase I dose-escalation trials are based on a single treatment schedule only.

DLT-based Regulatory Systems Dynamics

open access: yesProceedings of the Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2023
In this research, we examine the interplay between ‘actors’ and ‘agents’ in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) systems. We identify regulatory interactions between off-chain agents setting the rules, as well as on-chain code as actors regulating the behavior of DLT users.
