ABSTRACT Objectives Understudied populations such as those with intellectual disabilities (ID) face significant disease burden and oral health disparities. Systematic exclusion from oral health research contributes to resultant health inequalities, limits understanding of the determinants and implications of disease, and hinders the ability to improve ...

A Contribution to the Treatment of Non-cooperative Adult Patients
The study has analysed situation in non-cooperative patients admitted for dental treatment in 2009. The aim of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of dental caries in adult patients treated under general anesthesia, and to Compaq with patients ...

Dynamical screening in correlated electron systems - from lattice models to realistic materials
Recent progress in treating the dynamically screened nature of the Coulomb interaction in strongly correlated lattice models and materials is reviewed with a focus on computational schemes based on the dynamical mean field approximation.

Longitudinal Analysis of Fluoride Levels in Irish Water Supplies: A 52‐Year Review
ABSTRACT Background/Aim The Health (Fluoridation of Water Supplies) Act of 1960 in Ireland mandates monthly fluoride sampling in Public Water Supplies (PWS). In 2007, authorities adjusted the mandated fluoride concentration from 0.8–1.0 to 0.6–0.8 mg/L. Approximately 71% of the Irish population has access to fluoridated drinking water. This study aimed

Behavioral and Social Correlates of Oral Health among Adults: A Cross-sectional Study
Introduction: Few studies have investigated the behavioral and socioeconomic determinants of oral health in a developing country like Iran. The purpose of this study is to analyze the behavioral and socioeconomic factors affecting oral health indices in ...

Implications of the Low-Temperature Instability of Dynamical Mean Theory for Double Exchange Systems
The single-site dynamical mean field theory approximation to the double exchange model is found to exhibit a previously unnoticed instability, in which a well-defined ground state which is stable against small perturbations is found to be unstable to ...

ABSTRACT Objectives Nutritional disorders and dental caries share common risk factors, including diet and socioeconomic position, but the association between these two conditions remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the potential association between overweight/obesity and the occurrence of dental caries in primary dentition ...

Full orbital calculation scheme for materials with strongly correlated electrons
We propose a computational scheme for the ab initio calculation of Wannier functions (WFs) for correlated electronic materials. The full-orbital Hamiltonian H is projected into the WF subspace defined by the physically most relevant partially filled ...

Electronic structure of SrVO3 within GW+DMFT [PDF]
We present a detailed calculation of the electronic structure of SrVO3 based on the GW+DMFT method. We show that a proper inclusion of the frequency-dependent Hubbard U and the nonlocal self-energy via the GW approximation, as well as a careful treatment of the Fermi level, are crucial for obtaining an accurate and coherent picture of the quasiparticle
