DMFT index of patients in the COVID-19 normalization period in Turkey

open access: yesJournal of Oral Health and Oral Epidemiology, 2023
Background: During the 2019-nCoV pandemic, many health institutions stopped providing services, thus causing disruptions in the health system. This study aimed to examine the decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT) index of individuals during the post-pandemic normalization period.

Metallic surface of a Mott insulator - Mott insulating surface of a metal

open access: yes, 1999
The dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT) is employed to study the Mott transition in the semi-infinite Hubbard model at half-filling and zero temperature.

Understanding dental caries in adults: A cross-sectional examination of risk factors and dietary behaviorsSnapshot of the research

open access: yesClinical Nutrition Open Science
Summary: Aim: This study aimed to assess dental caries levels, as indicated by the Decay-Missing-Filled Teeth (DMFT) index, and identify risk factors and dietary behaviors associated with DMFT. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study of 402 adults

Self-consistency over the charge-density in dynamical mean-field theory: a linear muffin-tin implementation and some physical implications

open access: yes, 2007
We present a simple implementation of the dynamical mean-field theory approach to the electronic structure of strongly correlated materials. This implementation achieves full self-consistency over the charge density, taking into account correlation ...

Lifshitz Transition in Correlated Topological Semimetals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Theoretical calculations reveal that in YPtBi and GdPtBi, strong electronic correlations shift topological Dirac nodes away from the Fermi level by forming large hole pockets. This effect is sensitive to temperature and arises from interactions among 4d or 4f electrons, offering insights into Fermi surface engineering in quantum materials.

Family's socioeconomic and demographic factors on elements of children's dental and oral health: A scoping review

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Family plays a significant role in children's dental and oral health (DOH) elements, such as children's DOH knowledge and practice, the development of children's dental fear and anxiety (DFA), children's dental visits, and children's DOH status.

Community‐Based Postdoctoral Dentistry Program in Special Care Dentistry: Development and Implementation

open access: yesJournal of Dental Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction There is a growing, national need for properly trained dentists to provide special care dentistry to a transitioning, aging, and medically complex population. This study describes the implementation and initial impact of a novel academic‐community intervention designed to rapidly address this critical gap in provider training and ...

Two-site dynamical mean-field theory

open access: yes, 2001
It is shown that a minimum realization of the dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT) can be achieved by mapping a correlated lattice model onto an impurity model in which the impurity is coupled to an uncorrelated bath that consists of a single site only ...

Magnetic structure in the two‐dimensional van der Waals ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, EarlyView.
High‐quality single crystals of Fe3GaTe2 were grown using the chemical vapour transport method, allowing for a precise determination of their crystal and magnetic structures. A shortening of the Fei–Fei distance enhances the Fe–Fe exchange interaction, providing a microscopic origin for its higher Curie temperature compared with Fe3GeTe2.High‐quality ...

A note on cluster methods for strongly correlated electron systems

open access: yes, 2001
We develop, clarify and test various aspects of cluster methods dynamical mean field methods using a soluble toy model as a benchmark. We find that the Cellular Dynamical Mean Field Theory (C-DMFT) converges very rapidly and compare its convergence ...
