Blue Fluorescent Chlorophyll Catabolites from Banana Leaves Hypermodified with Terpenoidic Groups Related to Abscisic Acid

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, EarlyView.
Abstract In senescent leaves of banana (Musa acuminata) hypermodified fluorescent chlorophyll (Chl) catabolites (hmFCCs) accumulate and give these leaves an easily observable blue fluorescence. Non‐fluorescent Chl‐catabolites (NCCs) are not detected, the typical colourless Chl‐catabolites that accumulate in most de‐greened plant leaves. Here, we report

A Simplified Approach for Electrochemical Allylic Oxidation of Olefins

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, Accepted Article.
A simple method for the electrochemical allylic oxidation of olefins to enones based on peroxide‐mediated C–H activation is presented. t‐‍Butyl hydroperoxide serves a dual role as mediator and oxygen source, avoiding the utilization of expensive transition metal catalysts, potentially explosive supporting electrolytes such as perchlorates, or ...

Rapid Diagnostic Testing for Infective Endocarditis and Myocarditis Using Nanopore Targeted Sequencing

open access: yesiLABMED, EarlyView.
This research presents a method based on nanopore targeted sequencing (NTS) with pathogen‐specific panels for testing infective endocarditis (IE) and myocarditis. The NTS achieved a detection limit of 20 copies/test for the IE target panel and 10 copies/test for the myocarditis target panel.
