IL‐33‐Induced TREM2+ Macrophages Promote Pathological New Bone Formation Through CREG1‐IGF2R Axis in Ankylosing Spondylitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies TREM2+ macrophages as key contributors to pathological bone formation in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). These macrophages mediate pathological new bone formation via the CREG1‐IGF2R‐PI3K‐AKT pathway and are regulated by IL‐33 through STAT6 phosphorylation.

Mechanical Load‐Induced Upregulation of Talin2 through Non‐Canonical Deubiquitination of OTUB1 Drives Facet Joint Osteoarthritis Pathogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Facet joint osteoarthritis (FJOA), prevalent in the elderly, involves Talin2 upregulation promoting ECM degradation while suppressing synthesis. Mechanical load stabilizes Talin2 via OTUB1‐mediated non‐canonical deubiquitination, driving CCL2 expression that recruits immune cells, exacerbating inflammatory joint degeneration.

Identification and Application of a Novel Patulin Degrading Enzyme From Meyerozyma guilliermondii

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Patulin (PAT), a hazardous mycotoxin, threatens human health. A novel yeast‐derived short‐chain dehydrogenase/reductase effectively degrades PAT into nontoxic ascladiol via catalytic triad activity. The biological detoxification process has no significant effect on the quality of fresh pear juice.

Sortilin‐Mediated Rapid, Precise and Sustained Degradation of Membrane Proteins via mRNA‐Encoded Lysosome‐Targeting Chimera

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study identified sortilin as a promising LTR, enabling targeted degradation of oncogenic proteins through an mRNA‐encoded MedTAC strategy. In a mouse model, MedTACPTK7 reduced PTK7 by up to 80%, extended survival, and showed excellent pharmacokinetics without toxicity, providing a scalable platform for targeted therapies.

The DNA-directed RNA polymerases of soybean

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1973
Abstract Four cellular RNA polymerases have been partially purified from hypocotyls of soybean ( Glycine max ). Enzyme isolation from nuclear preparations indicate the DEAE polymerases I and II are localized within the nucleus. Inhibitor studies showed that DEAE polymerase II was preferentially inhibited by α-amanitin, DEAE peaks III and IV were ...
