Rates of DNA Sequence Profiles for Practical Values of Read Lengths
A recent study by one of the authors has demonstrated the importance of profile vectors in DNA-based data storage. We provide exact values and lower bounds on the number of profile vectors for finite values of alphabet size $q$, read length $\ell$, and ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Coding capacity of complementary DNA strands [PDF]
A Fortran computer algorithm has been used to analyze the nucleotide sequence of several structural genes. The analysis performed on both coding and complementary DNA strands shows that whereas open reading frames shorter than 100 codons are randomly distributed on both DNA strands, open reading frames longer than 100 codons ("virtual genes") are ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

On reversibility problem in DNA bases over a class of rings
Let [Formula: see text] be a non-chain ring of characteristic 4, where [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]. In this article, we discuss reversible cyclic codes of odd lengths over the ring [Formula: see text].

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

K-Means Multi-Verse Optimizer (KMVO) Algorithm to Construct DNA Storage Codes
In an era of information explosion, dealing with massive data has become a problem. Since DeoxyriboNucleic Acid (DNA) is a high-density storage medium with long storage endurance, a DNA based storage system is a viable solution.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Turbo autoencoders for the DNA data storage channel with Autoturbo-DNA
Summary: DNA, with its high storage density and long-term stability, is a potential candidate for a next-generation storage device. The DNA data storage channel, composed of synthesis, amplification, storage, and sequencing, exhibits error probabilities ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
