Adjunctive application of handgrip exercise associated with dobutamine stress echocardiography

open access: yes, 2011
Stress echocardiography is today the best possible imaging choice in the field of noninvasive diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE) and Dobutamine-atropine stress echocardiography (DASE) have been studied ...

Comparative study between stress echocardiography with dobutamine and dipyridamol

open access: yesRevista Cubana de Cardiología y Cirugía Cardiovascular, 2014
The diagnostic accuracy of stress echocardiography with dobutamine and dipyridamole was evaluated in 15 patients with stable effort angina who underwent coronary angiography, whose indication was not related to the objectives of this study.

Assessment of diastolic reserve in hypertensive patients by dobutamine stress Doppler tissue imaging

open access: yesThe Egyptian Heart Journal, 2015
Background: Many hypertensive patients are symptomatic mainly with exercise, because of the rise in filling pressures. Therefore, it is useful to evaluate left ventricular filling pressure with exercise. The study aims to determine the role of dobutamine

Pre‐anaesthetic risk assessment and management of dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease: a spectrum of care narrative review

open access: yesJournal of Small Animal Practice, Volume 67, Issue 8, Page 663-679, August 2026.
Myxomatous mitral valve disease, an acquired valvular degeneration, is the most common cardiac disorder in dogs, affecting approximately 10% of dogs in primary care veterinary practice. Dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease frequently require anaesthesia for routine procedures.

Predictive Value of Dobutamine Stress Perfusion Echocardiography in Contemporary End‐Stage Liver Disease

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2017
BackgroundThe assessment of cardiac risk in contemporary liver transplantation (LT) has required more sensitive testing for the detection of occult coronary artery disease as well as microvascular and functional cardiac abnormalities.

Pancreatic cancer cachexia promotes cardiac dysfunction through altered adrenergic signalling in the heart

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 15, Page 6281-6301, 1 August 2026.
Abstract figure legend The β1‐adrenergic receptor is the predominant adrenergic subtype expressed on cardiac myocytes. Upon stimulation it activates downstream signalling pathways that increase the heart rate and cardiac output to meet metabolic demands.

Sinus Node Dysfunction Unmasked during Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography

open access: yes, 2011
Sinus bradycardia and associated isorhythmic AV dissociation may be seen during dobutamine stress echocardiography. This phenomenon is usually considered a benign peri-procedural event and is thought to be secondary to the Bezold-Jarisch reflex, with ...

Validity of Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography in Detection of Coronary Artery Disease.

open access: yesJournal of Rawalpindi Medical College, 2013
Background: To determine validity of myocardial dobutamine stress echocardiography in detection of coronary artery disease. Methods: In this descriptive study fifty patients with stable angina, undergoing coronary angiography, with or without past ...

Feasibility of physiologist-led stress echocardiography for the assessment of coronary artery disease

open access: yesEcho Research and Practice, 2017
Background: Physiologist-led stress echocardiography (PLSE) services provide potential for expansion of SE services and increased productivity for cardiologists. There are however no published data on the feasibility of PLSE.

Morphological changes in the arterial pressure waveform following hemodynamic therapies in critical care: A clinical proof‐of‐concept study in older adults

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2026.
In 132 cardiac surgery patients, fluid bolus, norepinephrine, and dobutamine each produced a distinct, recognizable pattern in arterial waveform morphology (systolic area/downstroke time, diastolic area/time, augmented pressure), suggesting arterial waveform analysis is a promising tool for bedside hemodynamic decision support.
