In the period from 1. January to 31. December 1992, the new pinless external fixator was applied in eight European and North American clinics as part of a prospective multicentric study run by the AO/ASIF Documentation Centre. The aim of this study was to determine the indications, handling, and clinical results with the new fixator.

Document, documentation, and the Document Academy: introduction

A series of efforts starting in the late nineteenth century to manage the increase in documents came to be knows as “documentation.” Leaders included Paul Otlet and Suzanne Briet. The concern was with access to evidence and the meaning of “document” was broadened to include any sign preserved to represent phenomena.

DOCUMENTATION OF DOCUMENTATION

Five leading abstracts services in the field of documentation were inspected. A measure of their coverage was obtained by matching the items of a bibliography against each service. All abstracts published by these services in 1964 were counted and ranked to estimate the scope of each service, to identify key journals and to assess the language problem.

Document Listing on Versioned Documents

Representing versioned documents, such as Wikipedia history, web archives, genome databases, backups, is challenging when we want to support searching for an exact substring and retrieve the documents that contain the substring. This problem is called document listing. We present an index for the document listing problem on versioned documents.
