A method for classification of scenery documentary using MPEG-7 edge histogram descriptor

Proceedings of 2005 IEEE International Workshop on VLSI Design and Video Technology, 2005., 2005
A double-threshold method is proposed to classify the scenery documentary using MPEG-7 edge histogram descriptor (EHD). The segments of a scenery documentary are classified into two categories, building and natural scenery clips, by global EHD of shot keyframes with the double-threshold method.

New classification quality estimators for analysis of documentary information: Application to patent analysis and web mapping

Scientometrics, 2004
In the procedure of information analysis, one general problem is the evaluation of the results of data classification methods. The complexity of the studied topics combined with the weaknesses of the most widespread objective classification quality estimators, like inertia, may finally led to make use of an expert of the studied domain for a subjective
