Stability of a bi-layer free film: simultaneous or individual rupture events? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the stability of a long free film of liquid composed of two immiscible layers of differing viscosities, where each layer experiences a van der Waals force between its interfaces.

Spectrophotometric determination of tin(IV) with phenylfluorone and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide.

open access: yesBUNSEKI KAGAKU, 1984
The sensitizing effect of dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTMAB) on the spectrophotometric determination of tin (IV) with phenylfluorone was studied. Under the optimum conditions the sensitivity was about twice as high as that without DTMAB. The calibration curve was linear up to 0.20 ppm of tin(1V).
