Properties of aqueous foams stabilized by dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2009Foamability, foam stability and the liquid volume of aqueous foams stabilized by dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (C(12)TAB) are studied. The foams are generated with a sparging method at different gas flow rates and surfactant concentrations.

Interaction of cephalosporin drugs with dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide
The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 2013Abstract The interaction of three cephalosporin drugs namely cefadroxyl monohydrate (CFM), cephalexin monohydrate (CLM) and cephradine monohydrate (CDM) with dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide (DTAB) has been carried out by conductance measurements in aqueous medium and in aqueous solution of K2SO4 salt over temperature range of (303.15 to 318.15) K ...

The interaction between sodium perfluorooctanoate (SPFO) and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) was studied by several methods and it was found strongly synergistic. Above a mole fraction of SPFO in the surfactant mixture (alpha(SPFO))=0.38, the interaction is repulsive and increases with the content of SPFO in both, the overall mixture and ...

ADSORPTION OF TOLUENE ON BENTONITES MODIFIED BY DODECYLTRIMETHYLAMMONIUM BROMIDE
Chemical Engineering Communications, 2011The adsorption of toluene was studied by using various types of adsorbents (Na+- and Al3+-bentonite) modified by dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB). The characterization of these new sorbing matrices by XRD and IR indicates that DTAB tallow interacted with bentonite and increased the interlayer spacing of the clay with double-layered formation ...

Studies on Interaction of Dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide with Na- and Al-Montmorillonite
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1997The adsorption isotherms and adsorption enthalpies of dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DDTMAB) on Na- and Al-montmorillonite were determined in the pH range 2-12. The basal spacings of the clays were also studied by X-ray diffraction. Interactions of DDTMAB with the two montmorillonites predominate mostly through cation exchange in the pH range ...

Mixed Micelles of Dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide and Didodecyldimethylammonium Bromide
Langmuir, 1995Mixed micelles of dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) and didodecyldimethylammonium bromide (DDAB) are investigated with small-angle neutron scattering (SANS). The roughly spherical DTAB micelle elongates, and the fraction of condensed bromide ions increases, as the DDAB-DTAB mixing ratio increases at a constant total surfactant concentration.

Dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide-styrene microemulsion dielectric investigation in aqueous media
Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 2023In this paper, we report the complex permittivity of aqueous microemulsions of N-dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide and styrene. The studies were carried out at 298.15 K while varying the styrene to surfactant concentration ratio, S0 (0.16 ≤ S0 ≤ 0.71) and the surfactant concentration, c (0.1032 ≤ c (mol·dm−3) ≤ 0.7806).
