Potentiometric Study on Interaction of Dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide with α-Amylase

Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 2004
Abstract The binding of dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) with α-amylase was investigated under various experimental conditions, such as pH, ionic strength, urea and protein concentration at 25 °C using surfactant membrane-selective electrodes as a fast and accurate method.

[Spectrophotometric study of DNA complexes with dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide].

Biofizika, 1997
Multistep nature of complex formation of bromide dodecyltrimethylammonium (DTMA) with thymus DNA is shown by spectrophotometric method application in the range of 220-600 nm. While adsorbing DTMA DNA undergoes some structural changes. DTMA concentration raise from 0.4 to 0.8 mM per DNA provokes hydrophobic layer formation leading to following ...

Dodecyltrimethylammonium and Di(dodecyldimethylammonium) bromides interactions with poly (amidoamine) dendrimer

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2004
Abstract The conductivity (κ), surface tension (γ), viscosity (η), dynamic light scattering (DLS) and Krafft temperature (KT) measurements of aqueous dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) and di(dodecyldimethylammonium bromide) (12-2-12) with poly (amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimers have been carried out at 25 °C. From the κ data, the apparent critical

Biocidal Behaviour of (Dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide) on Carbon Steel in Well Water

Transactions of the Indian Institute of Metals, 2015
The inhibition of corrosion of carbon steel in well water using diethylenetriamine penta (methylene phosphonic acid) (DETPMP), Zinc ions and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) was investigated using weight-loss measurement, electrochemical polarization and impedance methods.

Thermodynamic studies on the interactions of histone H1 and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide

Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 1993
Abstract The thermodynamic parameters for the interaction of the cationic detergent dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) with histone H 1 at pH 3.2, 6.4 and 10 have been measured over a wide range of DTAB concentrations by equilibrium dialysis at 27 and 37°C.

Adsorption of Dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide and Sodium Bromide on Gold Studied by Liquid Chromatography and Flow Adsorption Microcalorimetry

Langmuir, 2006
Here, we report on a new aspect of the adsorption of Br- on the surface of gold. The adsorption of dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (C12TABr) from aqueous solutions onto macroporous gold particles was studied by continuous flow frontal analysis solid/liquid chromatography and flow adsorption microcalorimetry.

Heat capacities of butanol and pentanol in aqueous dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide solutions

Journal of Solution Chemistry, 1987
Heat capacities of the ternary systems water-dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB)-butanol and water-DTAB-pentanol were measured at 25°C. The standard partial molar heat capacities of pentanol in micellar solutions show a maximum at about 0.35 mol-kg−1 DTAB that has been attributed to a micellar structural transition.

Heat capacities of some primary alcohols in dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide aqueous solutions

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1991
Heat capacities of the ternary systems water-dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB)-alcohols (propanol, butanol, pentanol, hexanol, and heptanol) were measured at 25°C as a function of the surfactant and the additive concentration. At fixed low surfactant concentrations m S , the apparent molar heat capacity of alcohols C Φ,R increases linearly with ...
