Surfactant‐mediated electro‐dewetting of droplets in oil for liquid‐shape manipulation
Surfactant‐mediated electro‐dewetting has recently been demonstrated to manipulate droplets in air for digital microfluidics. The current work explores electro‐dewetting of droplets in oil for liquid‐shape manipulation. Contact‐angle change of 100° is obtained for electro‐dewetting of a dimethyl sulfoxide droplet in hexadecane oil with mere 4 V.

A Rapid and Inexpensive Method for the Purification of DNA from Lichens and their Symbionts [PDF]
A simple DNA extraction method is described, applicable to many different kinds of lichens. The method involves the use of the detergents DTAB and CTAB and yields DNA that can be directly amplified with the polymerase chain reaction or digested with ...

Fabrication of chitosan based nanofibers by electrospinning and their characterisation [PDF]
Electrospinning is used to produce fibers in the nanometer range by stretching a polymeric jet using electric field of high magnitude. Electrospinning leads to the formation of continuous fibers ranging from 0.01 to 10 ìm . The ultra-fine fibers produced
