Effects of anti‐Leishmania compounds in the behavior of the sand fly vector Lutzomyia longipalpis

Sugar baits can be used to block the development of Leishmania parasites inside the gut of the vector, adult female sand flies. In this work, we screened a series of synthetic compounds and showed that three of them are suitable for the future development of baits targeting the Leishmania parasites inside the sand fly Lutzomyia longipalpis.
